About Lincoln Lore

First published in 1929, Lincoln Lore is a nationally recognized magazine and a quarterly publication of the Lincoln Financial Foundation Collection.

The first issues of Lincoln Lore were one-page bulletins printed biweekly and intended to serve as a “medium through which some of the findings” of the original Lincoln Historical Research Foundation were released. In the 1950s, Lore expanded into a multi-page format issued monthly, and in 1996, following the opening of the Lincoln Museum, it became a quarterly publication. Pausing in 2009, with only one issue printed the following year as the collection transferred to the State of Indiana, Lincoln Lore resumed publication in 2011. From 1929 to today, Lincoln Lore continues its long legacy of scholarship discussing the life and times of Abraham Lincoln.
